A significant number of policies lack a review or revision date within the last 10 years, some are over 20 years old.

Delays in policy work were extended due to the Covid-19 pandemic. Other impacts from the pandemic include changes related to systems work, use of technology, and the needs of students and teachers.

We need data-driven, education-based revisions bringing us into alignment with the Commonwealth and the present day. Policies and procedures should undergo a routine, regular review by the School Committee.

I'm also interested to hear from faculty, parents and our biggest stakeholders, the students themselves, about their ideas for improving the campus climate here in Seekonk.
